100% Casein Complex is a blend of milk proteins. It primarily contains micellar casein obtained through cold ultrafiltration. Purer and ultra-concentrated, the casein retains its micelle, the basis of its protein structure. The result is a protein depleted of lipids and carbohydrates (including lactose).
Rich in amino acids, casein effectively combats tissue breakdown resulting from intense or prolonged exercise. Essential amino acids (including BCAAs) are present in casein, allowing it to be classified as a complete protein. A natural anabolic agent, casein promotes the renewal of muscle cells and proteins. Slow to be absorbed by the body (6 to 7 hours), casein continuously releases nutrients that enable the synthesis of new muscle cells while providing a feeling of satiety.
100% Casein Complex is further enhanced with a complex of amino acids and digestive enzymes. The amino acid matrix consists of L-glutamine (which enhances muscle strength and volume) and taurine (which has a calming effect on the body after exercise and increases alertness).
